“Smirnoff Dance Award” for best regional clubnight in ‘99

About

A musician from an early age Jay cut his teeth in the studio/live session world in the early 90’s around Ireland and went on to clock many hours for various labels/Agencies whilst also being a member of various original Irish bands both as a drummer and bass player, then in ‘97 he found himself temporally side lined with a RSI injury, he found himself for that time as a DJ in ‘liquid’ in Salthill Galway spending 3 years as a resident there and winning himself the 1999 Smirnoff Dance Award for best regional club night with his Thursday night slot, from this he went on to study Studio engineering back in Dublin with the view of spending more time at the technical side of the desk as a studio engineer before being pulled back into the session world, after another stint spent touring and in the studio it was time to call quits after 30 years in the music Business, now back in Galway his time is spent working on Various musical and film making Projects.
